Visual fodder of the 21st century is not a series of stills, but rather an unrelenting, rapid surge of transmissions. The subject of my artwork is the constant stream of visual stimulation provided by time-based experience and media. The works I create are records of my capacity to perceive such inexhaustible stimulus, a practice of examining sensory information in a continuous state of change. I seek to discover and describe hidden aspects of shifting imagery, building layers of visual information as time and narrative unfold. I search not for stillness, but rather understanding of the psychological impact of velocity and the presence of tranquility amidst the mess.
