Ben Pond's artwork addresses time and space in the contexts of travel, locale and communication. The works he creates are records of his capacity to perceive such inexhaustible stimulus, a practice of examining sensory information in a continuous state of change. Pond seeks to discover and describe hidden aspects of shifting imagery, building layers of visual information as time and narrative unfold. He searches not for stillness, but the presence of tranquility amidst the mess.
